Devon Way, Longbridge
Longbridge Technology park is part of a significant regeneration of an existing brownfield site, creating a vibrant urban environment for business and residents alike on the outskirts of Birmingham.
Completed in February 2020, this two storey building provides modern and flexible office space with a total gross floor area of 20,000sqft.
Office spaces were conditioned via 4-pipe fan coil units, with mechanical ventilation for provision of fresh air. A packaged Chiller and central Air Handling Unit (AHU) were located on the roof top plantroom and services distributed through the building.
Energy efficient plant and lighting were selected to ensure the buildings carbon emissions were minimised, and this was further offset by the implementation of a large Photovoltaic panel (PV) array on the roof.
The building achieved a BREEAM very good rating, further enhancing its environmental performance.
Working with Barnwood Ltd, Axiom were responsible for the full design, supply and installation of all MEP services.
